To improve our communication with RealTimeBattle fans we have opened a Twitter account, we can be found on @RTB_FIC.
Moreover, there are more things, not only to follow live tournaments we organize or we participate in, but latest news that are públished at rtb.belay.es.
The very first event that we are going to talk about in this twitter account is going to be the RealTimeBattle tournament of the Open Sessions 2011 (A Coruña), if you have a robot playing that tournament and you can’t attend because of any reason, this is a simple way to follow its play.
So, everything are advantages in joining @RTB_FIC en http://twitter.com/#!/RTB_FIC.
This year GPUL organizes again the Open Sessions, as it has been done these last years. In the four days these sessions last, there will be done conferences about Free Software projects, workshops to learn using some FSw technologies, and even, as it could not be missing, a RealTimeBattle tournament where players will be able to test their skills in robots programming, making them fight ones with eash others.
Between workshops, we have to mention one about how to program RTB robots using different programming languages. It will be a very simple workshop, where people who never made an RTB robot achieve enough skill to do it simply and fast, so if they want they can take part in the RealTimeBattle tournament that is organized for the last day.

We have just arrive from XGN09. This year’s tournament was celebrated later than the oficial hour and it lasted more than expected, but it was because there were more robots and in a lot of programming languages.
This year there were 31 robots, some of them didn’t work, but it didn’t mind because they didn’t passed the first round.
The tournament began with a previous round of 8 groups with 4 robots in eash one, the exception was the last group where there only were 3 robots. From each group 2 robots passed to the next round. In the next round there were 18 robots instead of 16 because of 2 draws in the first round, organized in groups of 4 robots (5 robots in two of them) and 2 passed to the Final. The 8 robots that reached the Final figth ones to each other like if it were a league, when it finished two robots had to fight again to decide the third position because they had draw previously.
The prize for the winner was a printer and a disk media player.

Like you would posibly know, XGN is a meeting where people related or not with IT share 3 days full of fun, entertaiment, and extreme freakness. It is a place to do friends and to learn new things about IT thanks to the conferences that take place those days.
To attend to this party you have to folow 3 easy steps:
- Register as user in the XGN’s web (http:\\www.xuventudegaliza.net)
- Pay much attention on Saturday March the 7th at 17:00 o’clock to do the preregistration. You have to be refreshing the page at that time o’clock because who obtains the seats are the first ones who are capable of preregistrating themself . This year ther are more seats, so you will have few minutes more to preregistrate yourself than last year.

Once above steps are done, you just become participant of this XGN’s edition.
The party’s day you just have to present your RTB robot through the party’s internal web page and wait until the hour battles begin.
